MY WORKING HOURS: My working hours for sending attunements are Monday - Friday from 10am - 6pm.
PLEASE NOTE: I do not pass attunements in the evenings or over the weekend. However, if these times do not suit you, perhaps due to time zone differences, we can arrange an alternative time that suits us both.
What is an Attunement?
The first step in learning the healing form called Reiki is in recognizing the energy that is within your own life at this moment in time. This in itself is the first step in receiving an attunement. An attunement is a special and sacred event where a Reiki Master/Teacher will work to increase the frequency of the energy field of the individual being attuned. How this is performed is taught in the Usui Method of Natural Healing called Usui Shiki Reiki Ryoho.
A Reiki attunement opens a pathway within you which enables you to 'channel' the flow of Reiki energy through your hands. This is likened to the tuning of a radio to a specific channel. You will be tuned in with the energy on a high dimension. The Master/Teacher will raise your awareness and energetic vibrations and will ultimately connect you to the Universal Life Force called Reiki. Your life will change forever and you will start to see the world around you for what it truly is.
Receiving an attunement is easy. You simply lie down or sit in lotus position with your Hands in your lap or in Gassho position (Praying Hands). You close your eyes and relax. The Teacher will sometimes ask you to repeat a mantra before the attunement begins but this will always depend on who is attuning you and their own way of working.
There are many experiences that sometimes occur during an attunement and these range from flashes of colour within your minds eye, a sense of weightlessness (floating), or waves flowing over you (this is the sensing of the energy moving through your physical and astral body). You will feel like you just received a massage.
Reiki attunements can also be performed over a distance using what is called 'A Distant Attunement'. The Universal energy that we call REIKI is not limited by mankind's thinking of time and space but is endless. Distant attunements work and are just as effective as an 'In Person Attunement'.
The INTENTION is the Key to all attunements and energy work. Without the Intention the symbols which are used in Usui Shiki Reiki Ryoho, and any other healing system which encourages the use of symbols, have no meaning. It is your Intention behind the use of them which allows them to become active. The use of the Long Distance symbol within The Reiki method of Natural Healing also aids in the passing of not only Healings but also the Attunement.
After receiving an attunement you will be able to use Reiki and energy healing straight away.
ATTUNEMENTS: Attunements can be received at an appointed time and day or via the chi ball (call in) method. Although I prefer "real time" attunements, as I feel they are more personal, I am willing to do chi ball attunements if you would prefer to have the attunement to call in when you wish. If multiple attunements are purchased they will not all be sent out on the same day as there must be a minimum gap of at least 3-4 days between each modality to enable the energies to be fully accepted and assimilated into your energy field. I do understand that some teachers will attune their students to many levels or multiple attunements at one time but this is unprofessional and can cause many spiritual problems to their student.
1. For an appointed time and day attunement we will set up a time and day that is convenient for both of us to be in a meditative state which is when I will send the attunement to you
2. For a Call in attunement I will set up your attunement into what is called a Chi Ball. A Chi ball is a etheric orb of energy that holds all the information about you and the attunement that you are going to recevie. I will then email you to let you know that the attunement is ready for you to call in.
When you receive an Attunement using either of the above methods all you need to do is be in a relaxed state. You can sit in lotus petal position with your legs crossed and your back straight, sitting in a comfortable chair or my favourite laying in bed. You can play some relaxing music (No Vocals), burn incense or candles (Please make sure that all candles and incense are kept in a safe place and away from flammable items.
When you are ready to receive the Attunement please say the following:
I accept this (Attunement being received) that is being sent to me by Maria Wood on this (Day), (Date), at (Time) and ask that the strongest energies that I can handle will flow through me. I ask that my guides, Archangels and all beings of light to be with me and to protect me during this sacred initiation.
So Be It!
After this has been repeated a couple of times you will start to feel/sense a pressure building around you which will be the start of the energy flow. Relax and allow the energies to flow through you, this can last for anything from 30-60 minutes.
Always remember to ground yourself after your attunement and to drink plenty of water after wards to aid in any clearings that may take place.

Before you being attuned
You will be required to study your manual and practice any meditations/exercises in it, if any. If you have any questions about any of the material, you can e-mail me anytime and I will answer any questions you may have.
After you being attuned I will require you to perform:
- 30 minutes of self healing
After you performed your self healing, all I will need is a paragraph or two typed up and e-mailed to me of how it went and how you felt.
It is not a test to see how academic you are. It is just to show that you have worked with the energy and how you felt when using it. It will help with your development and confidence.
You can take as long as you like to complete this work. After I receive your work by email I will send your certificate.
EMAILED CERTIFICATES: All certificates are sent via email. Your certificate will be sent to you within 24 hours after I receive your "home work".
PLEASE NOTE: Your lineage will appear on the bottom of the certificate
How do I pay for your services?
If you would like to pay for any of my services through PAYPAL, which is my preferred method of payment, just click on the relevant button in each store page. This will then take you to a secure page from Paypal where you can pay for your session or course. Paypal lets you pay either with a Paypal account, or with your Debit or Credit Card (you don't need to have a Paypal account to pay by Debit or Credit card). I also accept UK CHEQUES and UK POSTAL ORDERS - if you wish to pay using this method, please e-mail me to book your session and I will give you details of where to send your cheque/postal order. If these methods of payment do not suit you at all, I can also accept payment through WESTERN UNION, which is great for overseas customers, however I will only accept this for payments over £20. I can also accept BANK DRAFTS and INTERNATIONAL MONEY ORDERS from overseas customers as long as the cheque/postal order is in pounds sterling.
